VISION

Empowering girl students with the contemporary knowledge in electrical and electronics engineering for their success in life

MISSION

1. Quality education and excellent environment for students.

2. To learn and practice latest technologies in Electrical and Electronics

Engineering platforms prevalent in industry.

3. Integrated with opportunities for teamwork, leadership, values, ethics and
social activities.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) stands at the forefront of modern technological advancements. The discipline has evolved far beyond traditional wires and circuits, encompassing cutting-edge domains such as Electric Vehicles, Smart and Digital Grids, Renewable Energy Systems, Automation, and Power Electronics.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in 2008 with an initial intake of 60 students along with 12 lateral entry admissions. At present, the department admits 30 students with an additional 3 lateral entry seats.

The department is headed by Dr. N. Nagasekhara Reddy, who completed his Ph.D. from IIT Hyderabad and M.Tech from NIT Trichy. He possesses vast experience in both teaching and research. The department is ably supported by a team of 13 highly qualified and dynamic faculty members, comprising 1 Associate Professor and 12 Assistant Professors. Among them, four faculty members are currently pursuing their Ph.D. from reputed institutions. The department is further supported by five dedicated non-teaching staff members.

The department has well-established laboratories equipped with sophisticated and modern equipment to supplement the academic and practical needs of students. The laboratories include:

  1. Electrical Circuits & Measurements Laboratory

  2. Power Systems Laboratory

  3. Control Systems Laboratory

  4. Electrical Machines – I Laboratory

  5. Power Electronics Laboratory

  6. Electrical Machines – II Laboratory

  7. Electrical Simulation Laboratory

  8. Digital Signal Processing Laboratory

  9. Microprocessor & Microcontroller Laboratory

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering actively conducts career development programs focusing on students’ interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. The department also provides GATE coaching to interested students. Various academic and co-curricular activities such as seminars, quiz programs, industrial visits, paper contests, group discussions, guest lectures, career guidance programs, and sports activities are regularly organized under the department’s auspices.

Students are strongly encouraged to present technical papers and participate in seminars and workshops conducted at other engineering institutions. Industrial tours are arranged to provide students with practical exposure to real-world industrial environments.

An active Alumni Chapter exists within the department. Regular interactions are held with alumni to obtain feedback on academic programs, curriculum relevance, and placement opportunities. Their valuable suggestions are taken into consideration for the continuous development and improvement of the department.
