A state of art central library is equipped with all the latest collections along with a Digital Library for exploring Archives

Library

Central Library has been established since the inception of the college in the year 2008.Total area of central library is 8,073sft. with 165 seating capacity. The library is well equipped with modern facilities fully automated with barcode technology.

The Library has a vast collection of Books – 32,500 volumes 4,600 titles of  all disciplines (CSE, ECE, IT, EEE, CME, ME (ES), ME (DS), M Tech (CSE), M Tech (SE) & MBA), Project Reports, Books for Competitive exams, Welfare Books, Literature, Dictionaries, Back Volumes of International & National Journals & papers published by staff.

Information centre is a heart of the college hub of knowledge for students, staff and research scholars; well equipped, spacious and ventilated, text books & reference books, journals, newspapers, e-resources, digital library sections are available.

To acquire, organize and update the library collection to support the college unit’s teaching-learning program. To encourage the students to read beyond the requirements of the curriculum.  Serves an innovation partner in teaching learning and research activities; responsible for acquisition, processing organizing and resources both in print and digital form.

 

Central Library & Information Centre is automated fully with SOUL Software developed by INFLIBNET. Library used DDC Classification system and books arrangement is branch wise under subject wise with alphabetical manner.                  

The Library is kept open on all working days from 8 AM to 8 PM except National Holidays. The issue counter will be closed two hours before the closing of the Library.

 

 

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Readers and Visitors are requested not to bring their belongings in the library.

  • Users are requested to learn the book / documents on the reading table after consultation.

  • No documents issued brought to the library unless for returning.

  • Photo copying (Reprography) service shall be available for the library material against payment.

  • Users are responsible for photocopying with copyright get while copying library documents.

  • Improper use of library facility by a member will lead to the suspension of membership.

  • Silence and strict discipline should be maintained in the library by a user and the library staff.

  • Mobile phones and other loud electronic materials are strictly prohibited in side library premises.

  • The library rules and regulations shall be modified from time to time and shall be binding on all concerned.

  • A Document (Book) Issued may be renewed up to 2 times provided, there is no reservation against it.

  • A document may be recalled before the due date if required urgently in the Library. Failure to respond promptly may lead to suspension of library privileges.

  • Member proceeding on long leave or discontinued etc., exceeding two months should return the documents that are borrowed.

  • Borrowers are requested to check if the documents being borrowed are complete/pages are missing in it. In case of defect or damage in the book should be brought to the notice of the library staff.

  • Borrowers are responsible for the documents (ie tearing of pages, documents lost, Underlining, damaging of binding) shall take serious action and replacement of document concern.

  • Newly arrived documents shall be displayed documents on display shall be issued only after a specified period.

  • No documents shall be returned on the day of issue.
