Department of Information Technology (IT) was established in the year 2008 to offer B. E program with an intake of 60 and increased to 120. The B. E program in Information Technology is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in the year 2018. Being UGC Autonomous Institution, the IT Department adopted the best educational practices and designed more practical approach curriculum. Hence, it is possible for every student to acquire more practical knowledge with 40% of lab sessions, industry oriented internships, and real-time projects to meet the industry needs.

B. E in Information Technology has a high demand in the global IT industry. IT graduates exclusively have an opportunity of working in both Software and Hardware MNCs across the globe. Graduate Program in IT enable the students ready for industry by providing experiential learning in Computing, Communications and System Control domains. Rich experienced faculty in the department adopted best teaching and learning practices and laid foundation for holistic student centric 21st century learning. The department of IT has state-of-the-art laboratories with high-end software to Design, Develop and Deliver the Smart Applications beyond the curriculum. Dept. of IT has strong industry connect to bridge the gap between Industry-Academia from time to time. In the process, department had a practice of reviewing the curriculum and offer training on emerging technologies to up-skill the students and nurture them to grab best job opportunities.

In addition to the core subjects, B.E in IT majorly covers Programming, Data Structures, Web and Mobile Application Development, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Networking & Information Security, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Internet of Things(IoTs) and Cloud Computing etc. We made industry-oriented internship and, major project as mandatory for every student during the B.E program. Apart from the regular curriculum, department will encourage every student to actively participate in co-curricular activities to showcase their talent through Seminars, Conferences, Symposia, Fests / Contests, Sports events, and Social activities throughout the year.
